In November 2017 we visited three Community Supported Agriculture sites in Wales and England thanks to the Community Learning Exchange fund run by the Scottish Community Alliance. We learnt about what Community Supported Agriculture is and how veg box schemes work, where the aim is to feed local people rather than make a profit.

Our thanks goes to:

Amanda Cornish at Scottish Community Alliance for helping us to access Community Learning Exchange funding.

Roz Corbett at the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens for providing us with much needed contacts and for authenticating our funding application.

Maresa Bossano at CSA UK for putting us in touch with three fantastic CSA farms.

Tom O’Kane (Cae Tân CSA), Dom von Marsh, Gareth Davies (Canalside Community Food) and Becca Stevenson (Five Acres Community Farm) who kindly gave up their time to show us around their sites and talk in depth about their own CSA journeys.

Dave Shand (Taybank Growers Co-operative) and Sam Parry (Tomnah’a Market Garden) for sharing their experience and knowledge during the trip, with special thanks to Dave for sharing all the driving!
